Sharon Evans
Sharon Evans is our dedicated Client Relations Manager at The Gateway Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. A State of Washington 2009 retired employee, she continues to give back to the mental health community by continuing her passion for assisting children, adolescents, and adults in finding their true potential by facilitating positive client and therapist experiences throughout the treatment process.
Sharon’s passion for mental health and helping others earned her various qualifications including a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Washington, a Master of Counseling degree and another Certification from Seattle University, and a K-12 School/Guidance Counselor Certificate from Heritage University.
Sharon has had an extensive, diverse, and varied career, working for the State of Washington as an Administrative Assistant for 10 years, a K-12 School/Guidance Counselor for 10 years, a Private Practice Mental Health Therapist specializing in Chemical Dependency for 10 years, a Social Worker at DSHS/DCFS for 10 years, and as a Mental Health Therapist specializing in Chemical Dependency Counselor at the Chelan/Douglas Counties Juvenile Justice Center for 20 years.
After officially retiring Sharon continued working in the mental health field part-time, which led her to The Gateway Institute.
Sharon enjoys golfing, hiking, biking, playing pickleball, and spending time with her son and 2 granddaughters.
