Chris Boicelli
MFT Intern
Chris Boicelli
We are thrilled to introduce the newest addition to The Gateway Institute team, Chris Boicelli, Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Intern. Joining us in Seattle, Washington in April 2024, Chris brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a passion for helping individuals navigate through life’s challenges.
Chris received his undergraduate degree in general psychology from Capella University and is finishing his master’s degree in clinical psychology, scheduled for the fall of 2024. He has diligently honed his skills through various clinical internships, including those at Eastside Counseling Center and now at The Gateway Institute.
Chris will be focusing on providing specialized treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), related anxiety disorders, and depression. His therapeutic approach is comprehensive, drawing from evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Exposure Therapy (ET), and Emotion-focused Therapy (EFT). Whether working with children, teenagers, or adults, Chris is dedicated to guiding his clients toward a deeper understanding of themselves and their struggles.
What truly sets Chris apart is his profound empathy and compassion towards his clients. Chris shares that his alternate path might have led him to become a motivational speaker, and indeed, his therapeutic style reflects this, as he seeks to inspire and uplift those he works with. Through commitment and education, he empowers individuals to confront their challenges head-on and embark on a journey of healing and growth.
