Adam Clark-Tan, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), is a dedicated mental health therapist specializing in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders since 2015. Currently based at The Gateway Institute’s Oakland location in the San Francisco Bay Area, his wealth of experience spans over a decade.
Adam’s training includes a tenure at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), where he gained experience working with adolescents in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Additionally, he has completed specialized training with the Behavioral Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
Adam’s expertise extends beyond OCD, encompassing areas such as panic, perfectionism, phobias, body dysmorphia, and body-focused repetitive behaviors like skin-picking and hair-pulling. His treatment approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindfulness-Based Behavioral Therapy (MBBT), and Inference-Based CBT (I—CBT).
