Mona is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) whose practice welcomes individuals from all walks of life. With Mona, you’ll find a safe and inclusive space where your background is respected and valued. Starting in April 2024, Mona will be offering specialized treatment for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related anxiety disorders at The Gateway Institute in Seattle, Washington.

With over two decades of global and local experience in healthcare and corporate settings, Mona brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her work. Certified as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP), Board Certified Counselor, and Certified International Counselor, Mona is committed to providing you with the highest standard of care. Mona has a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Houston. She’s currently pursuing a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision through Antioch University.

Mona specializes in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including OCD, anxiety, trauma, depression, substance use disorder, ADHD, and parenting issues. Through evidence-based approaches like Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mona empowers her clients to achieve lasting growth and healing.
